Bill Clawson, RN, Ph.D., CLNC Bill has been a professional educator, lecturer, author and consultant since 1983.
He is the founder and President of Quest for Excellence™. Actively practicing in health
care for over 25 years, Bill has an extensive clinical background as a registered
nurse practitioner in critical care and elder care, along with a wealth of administrative
experience in medical staff development and health care administration.
He is a Certified Legal Nurse Consultant, and routinely presents seminars and advises
clients on standards of care. In that role, he works with attorneys, insurance companies,
government agencies, and private companies to evaluate cases for merit. He currently
serves on numerous California State and local boards and committees dedicated to
excellence in long term care.
Terri Clark, B.A.
A graduate of Humboldt State University, Terri has worked in Finance and
Human Resources most of her professional career. She worked for
Open Door Clinics for 15 years and then spent 5 years at a Eureka public accounting
firm. After nearly 5 years as HR Manager for the North Coast Cooperative, she
became Executive Director of Mobile Medical Office. Medical care for uninsured and
under-insured patients is particularly challenging at this time in California; at
Mobile Medical Office, she has found a home for both her heart and her mind.
She became a Rotarian in 1992 and served as 2002-2003 District 5130 Governor. She
is extremely active in fund-raising, and the Governor's education and training programs.
She has been married to Marty Lay, a civil engineer, since 1982. He is also a Rotarian
and they enjoy traveling and working on projects. They share their home with a
talented tabby cat named Hampton.
Terri continues to serve on the Board of Directors since 2009, and was recently elected
as Treasurer and Chief Financial Officer.
Rhonda Lofing, B.A.
Rhonda is well known throughout California for her over 25 years of practice as
an insurance broker in the long term care industry. She is a highly regarded
subject matter expert in long term care for her many years of service as the business
manager of the Residential Care Society, a state-wide education and lobbying
membership organization for residential care providers that ceased operations
a few years ago.
Additionally, she has service as Vice President and Senior Account Executive for a
large, national insurance firm through 2009. Since then, she serves as the
Vice President of New Beginnings Insurance Services and directly serves the specialty
market of residential care and social service agencies.
Rhonda was elected to our Board of Directors in October 2010, and also serves as
Secretary to the Board.
