Dr. Pasquale J. Palumbo, M.D., MACP, MACE,
Dr. Palumbo is a Senior Consultant of Endocrinology and Metabolism at the Mayo Clinic in Arizona in the Division of Preventive Medicine. He is board certified in Internal Medicine and in Endocrinology and Metabolism. He is a Master of the American College of Physicians (MACP) and a Master of the American College of Endocrinology (MACE).
He is author of over 150 scientific publications in the field of Endocrinology and Metabolism. His publications deal with his work in diabetes mellitus, obesity, and hyperlipidemia. He is Professor of Medicine at the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine in Rochester, MN.
Dr. Palumbo joined the staff of the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN in 1963 as an associate consultant and subsequently advanced to consultant in Endocrinology and Metabolism in 1964. Dr. Palumbo transferred to Mayo Clinic in Arizona in 1993 and served as Chair of the Division of Endocrinology and Metabolism there from 1994-1996. He subsequently became Chair of the Department of Internal Medicine at Mayo Clinic in Arizona in 1996 until 2002. He currently serves as a senior consultant in Internal Medicine and Endocrinology and Metabolism in the Division of Preventive Medicine.
Dr. Palumbo received his MD degree from Albany Medical College of Union University in Albany, New York. He completed a residency and fellowship in Internal Medicine with special emphasis in Endocrinology and Metabolism at the Mayo Clinic Graduate School of Medicine in Rochester, MN before joining the staff of the Mayo Clinic in 1963.
